Expenses.
In addition to the above commuted allowance, the following
scale of expenses to he paid :—

Where men have hitherto received higher day expenses than
shown above, the present recipients of such higher expenses will continue to
receive the same payment per day as at present, but the concession will not
be extended to their successors.
Payment of expenses at the above rate to date from March
1st, 1920.
TEMPORARY RELIEF CLERKS (EXCLUSIVE OF RELIEF CLERKS
ATTACHED TO AND EMPLOYED AT ONE STATION).
Expenses to be allowed at the same rates as for
permanently appointed Relief Clerks.
Clerks temporarily performing relief duty to be paid at
the clerical overtime scale rates for any time worked in excess of the
rostered hours for the post.
Sunday duty to be paid for at the clerical scale rates.
Travelling time, if incurred, outside the rostered hours
of duty, to be paid for at the clerical scale rates for overtime, on the
understanding that such payment shall not exceed the amount of the
difference between the day and day and night expenses to which the man
is entitled.
London Allowance.
It is understood that Relief Clerks attached to Depots or
Stations in London will be entitled to the London allowance.
Clerks in Provinces required to perform Relief Duty in
London area.
Clerks resident in the provinces and sent to perform relief
duty in the London area to be granted an additional allowance of 5s. per week.
Men at present graded Relief Station Masters or Relief
Agents.
Men at present graded as Relief Station Masters or Relief
Agents, to retain such titles during the time they occupy the positions,
but all future occupants of the posts to be graded Relief Clerks.
Uniform.
Relief Clerks who are regularly required to take the place
of Station Masters will be supplied with Station Masters’ uniform according
to their class.
