NOTE.—These provisions in regard to Grading are not
intended to apply to Shop Inspectors or Shop Foremen working in charge of
Shopmen who are receiving the 12 per cent. and who are themselves
receiving the 122 per cent.

APPENDIX “B.”
The scale rates applicable to men placed in Classes I. to V.
will be determined according to the number of years they have held the
classified position.
For example :—
(1) A man who was appointed to his present position
on July 31st, 1915, or any date prior to this, will go to the maximum rate
for the class in which his position is classified.
