The War Bonus adjustments, according to the cost of
living, to take place at the end of March, June, September, and December,
and to be based on the figures published in the months named by the
Ministry of Labour.
4. —Payment of Income Tax.
The arrangements hitherto existing on certain Railways,
for the Company to pay Income Tax chargeable to members of the above
grades will, under the re-classification, be discontinued.
5. — Hours Of Duty.
The ordinary working hours of duty shall not exceed
48 hours per week, it being understood that where the working hours at
August 1st, 1919, were less than 48 per week, they shall not be increased.
It is agreed that Station Masters shall not be required to be “on
call” more than alternate days or alternate weeks as may be arranged
by the individual Company.
6. — Weekly Half Holiday.
Where Station Masters desire it, and it can conveniently
be arranged, they will be allowed by agreement to work more than 8 hours
on 5 days of the week, in order to secure a short turn of duty on the
remaining day.
7. — Sunday Duty, Additional Work, Emergency
Calls, Night Duty, and being within Call outside hours of Regular Duty.
A commuted or aggregation allowance, separate and
distinct from the salary, will be granted to men of the above grades
according to the extra work they are expected to cover, on the following
basis: —

full payment of 15 % is not justified, a smaller 10 % proportionate
allowance to be granted based upon the approximate amount of Sunday

are required to be always within call unless
specially relieved, and to cover irregular hours,
emergency and night work. |
No allowance to be made in cases where men are not
required to perform any of these services.
