between the amount they received for that period and the amount yielded by
the above scale, calculated on the new salary, including any floating bonus.
8. – Sunday Duty.
Payment for Sunday duty will only be allowed when specially
sanctioned by Headquarters, or in such way as may be decided by the individual
Company, and when so authorised will be paid for as under :–

All Sunday duty authorised and worked between
April 6th and July 31st, 1919, for which no payment has been made, to be paid
for at the above hourly rates in accordance with the salary and War Bonus in
operation at the time.
In cases where a payment has already been made, the
difference between the amount granted and the amount yielded by the above,
hourly rates for the salary and War Bonus in operation at the time to be allowed
for the time worked.
All Sunday duty authorised and worked after August 1st, 1919,
to be paid for in accordance with the new scale of salaries, including any
floating bonus, at the above-mentioned hourly rates.
Sunday turns of duty to be defined as turns additional to
the ordinary week’s work, and commencing between Saturday midnight and
Sunday midnight.
A man required to come on duty for one short turn on Sunday
for a period not exceeding four hours shall be paid a minimum of four hours at
the Sunday rate.
If the time exceeds four hours, or if a man is required to
book on twice for two turns of duty on Sunday, he shall be paid for all time
worked, with a minimum of eight hours at the Sunday rate.
