“Special” Class positions at salaries over £350 per annum
are also open as vacancies occur to clerks who qualify for such positions.
2. – War Bonus Adjustment.
Junior Clerks at age 15 years will be entitled to a War
Bonus of £45 per annum. This Bonus will be adjusted at each scale
advance as under :–
Age 16

£35 per annum.
At age 18, or upon promotion to the Fifth Class, the
remaining War Bonus of £35 will be increased by half the Adult
Bonus, viz., £45, and from the total Bonus of £80 shall be
deducted the amount of salary increase received on such promotion.

The War Bonus now paid to Clerks in the Fifth Class
whose revised salaries under the foregoing scale will not exceed £150
per annum, to be adjusted in accordance with the following table :–
