No.3076 ‘4ft Shunter’ hard at work possibly at Ellesmere Port.
It has a Webb chimney (i.e. not fancy), but still has
Ramsbottom safety valves (with the long handle).
The single footstep at the rear and the vertical
handrail on the side sheet are for use by the shunter , not by the crew.
