A late picture of No.1273 ‘F’ class compound 2-8-0, when it was painted plain black. It has a Cooke buffers , and a Webb tender, which is fully lined out.

Most of the ‘F’ class were converted to ‘G1’ class but No.1273 was one of the two which were withdrawn before being converted.
