An ‘MM’ class 2-8-0 of GCR  design plugs away with a long freight at Colwyn Bay, 1930. The fireman  has a good fire going for the safety valves  are lifting to let off excess steam. The first wagon is a cattle wagon, coupled next to the engine, as it should be. Third is a private owner wagon and seventh a D.88 box van.
