‘E’ class No.2558 proceeds sedately backwards past
Tamworth with a mineral train in 1927. Although this was taken after
the London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) took over the LNW,
No.2558 is still has LNW cab side number plates and an LNW shed plate
fixed at the back top of the cab roof.
