‘C’ class 0-8-0 is stored out-of-use at Crewe
in 1929, looking rather grubby and unkempt. The brake blocks
look rather worn. With luck it is just awaiting repair, rather than
anything more terminal. It must have been converted from an
‘A’ or ‘B’ class as it
has the flush front crank pin . Only the leading and
rear wheels have sanding .
