Twin 42ft bogie Explain 'Bogie' clerestory Explain 'Clerestory Roof' dining saloons No. 158 and 159, built in 1890 as gangwayed Explain 'Gangway' pairs. Later used in WW1 as ambulance trains. One of these saloons survives in preservation having been re-constructed on a new underframe. Note the windows in the gangway.
