The driver controls his train from a cove roof Explain 'Cove-roof coach' driving trailer third Explain 'Third Class', as it passes Lianfairfechan on the North Wales coast. The trailer coach has an arc roof Explain 'Arc Roof Carriage' and is narrower (8ft) compared with 9ft for the driving trailer but from this angle the difference can barely be seen. The LNWR rarely worried about mixing such visibly different stock.
