The carriages are all 42ft. long and have 8-wheel radial underframe Explain 'Radial Chassis': the wheels are mounted noticeably more centrally whereas bogies Explain 'Bogie' were fitted right towards the end of the body. Unusually, the luggage compartment has side windows, barred against breakage. Only the first class Explain 'First Class' have access to lavatories — the third class Explain 'Third Class' must cross their legs. Vegetables are being grown on the line side bank behind.
