The LNWR Society On-Line Forum

An on-line forum exists for Society Members. The forum is fully moderated (as was the Sunday newsletter which operated for so many years and which preceded the adoption of forum technology). This means that the adverse effects of any unfortunate posting can be contained and not overflow into the normal (and hopefully harmonious) activities of the society or precipitate a full-blown on-line row as is sometimes seen elsewhere.

There are currently three moderators so delays to messages will be kept to a minimum, but please bear in mind that moderators are not logged in continuously, 24 hours a day.

The forum has been re-located (February 2010). The old forum remains accessible here but it is closed to new registrants and new posts.

If you would like to Register, which you have to do if you wish to post a new topic or reply to an exisiting topic, then please email the Forum Master, supplying:

• the name you would like to use on the forum, which must be your own forename and surname
• the email address to be associated with your forum name (probably your main email address)
• your postal address
• your LNWRS membership number

This information is required so that the Forum Master can verify your membership of the LNWR Society. When this has been done the Forum Master will contact you to advise you that you may proceed with your Registration.

Due to the large number of direct registrations from non-society members and the time spent following them up, ALL direct Registrations will now be ignored, other than when the information requested has already been supplied.
