Pilcher Portfolio Special Offer

Pilcher, this card bound A4 book contains a wide selection of informatively captioned photographs, of LNWR, GWR, GNR and other companies' locomotives and trains taken between the 1880s and the 1930s, many in the Shrewsbury area.

Brought up in Lincolnshire, educated at Bath and Cambridge, Percy Pilcher was a teacher at Shrewsbury School until his retirement in 1935. The geographical spread of his photographs is therefore not surprising, while the quality of his work, extremely well reproduced in this publication, was of the highest standard.
