On 19/20 May 1918, 84 glass squares and 62 roof tiles were broken by falling AA shrapnel. Previous parts are Press Digest items 530 and 536.

Of LNWR interest are Charles Beyer’s association with James McConnell in forming the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and production of the Large Bloomers, and Cambrian Railways No. 18 Orleton which was built for the Denbigh, Ruthin and Corwen Railway and passed through LNWR hands to the Cambrian.
